Our affiliate's first Women Build, named 'Women's Work' was held in 1995 and built a home alongside future homeowner, Loretta. We then had another Women Build in 2018 built alongside future homeowner, Abby, in Marietta, and we just completed a Women Build day in 2024.
We aim to raise $165,000 to build a whole Women Build HOUSE in 2025, and we need your help.
Women Build empowers women to participate in an exciting experience constructing a home for a local family. It also provides a hands-on opportunity for women to be proactive in addressing the affordable housing needs in their communities.
Women Build participants represent a diverse cross-section of the Metro Atlanta and Georgia business and civic community. While we’ve come together for the shared purpose of providing a safe and affordable place for a family, this initiative also offers the opportunity to empower, develop, and expand the skills of women across our community.
Join us in donating to the Women Build, by joining our committee to lead the event, or volunteering!

In Support of Habitat for Humanity of NW Metro Atlanta
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in nearly 1,400 communities throughout the U.S. and in nearly 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower.
