For David and La’Vonda and their growing family, homeownership represents the opportunity for stability, safety and a better future for their children.
The family of seven, who are preparing to welcome another baby, currently reside in a three-bedroom home that no longer provides enough space. In addition, the home has several ongoing issues, including persistent mold, outdated electrical systems, and structural concerns that have made maintaining a safe and comfortable environment increasingly diffi cult.
While navigating the challenges of renting, the path to homeownership also presented its own hurdles until the family discovered Habitat for Humanity.
With Habitat by their side, the family remains hopeful and focused on creating a brighter future for their children. This journey is more than purchasing a home. It is about building a foundation where their children can grow, thrive, and create lasting memories together for years to come.
The couple’s fi ve daughters, ages 11, 9, 7, 5, and 2, are all looking forward to having more space and a place to play with their dog, Lucy, and call home.
“You are more valuable than you know. We appreciate your partnership and sacrifi ce to assist our family with achieving one of our biggest goals to date. You are helping shape a future generation, and for that we are grateful,” David said.
