Why This Campaign Means So Much to Me My name is Nakayla, and I am a mother of six beautiful children. Right now, my family is going through one of the hardest moments of our lives. I was recently evicted and lost my job, leaving my children and me without a stable place to call home. A kind Good Samaritan has opened their home to us temporarily, but we only have a short amount of time before we will need somewhere else to go. I am asking for help because I want to give my children something every child deserves: a safe, stable place to call home. My goal is to work with Habitat for Humanity and other housing resources to get my family into stable housing. Having a home would give me the foundation I need to return to work, rebuild financially, and create stability for my children. I am willing to work hard, meet every requirement, and do whatever is necessary to earn and maintain a home for my family. This campaign means so much to me because this is not simply about having a house. It is about giving my children stability, security, and hope while giving me the opportunity to get back on my feet. If you are able to donate, no amount is too small. Every dollar can help us take another step toward stable housing. If you cannot donate, sharing our fundraiser with your family, friends, church, coworkers, or community would mean just as much to us. I know that asking for help is difficult, but my children need me to keep fighting. I am determined to turn this difficult chapter into a new beginning for our family.
